The theme of Chrysalis (the transforming of a caterpillar into a butterfly) symbolizes how Christ can transform each individual into something beyond their dreams. It depicts the work of Wedgwood - helping young people to face their issues, make healthy choices, and showing them how God’s love can transform them and their future into beautiful possibilities.
Join Wedgwood Christian Services for this exciting art show. Enjoy a time of viewing art, bidding on auction items, and supporting youth. You can enjoy hors d’ oeuvres and music while browsing Wedgwood’s new Break Down drama and music group will be premiered. Art lovers and artists from the community will attend. Hors d’oeuvres will be served, and both a a silent and live auction will be available to purchase art and other exciting gifts. Scholarships will be given as a prize drawing to youth who entered artwork. Ultimately, you will be helping at-risk youth. I have donated a large framed photography piece for the auction titled Transformation, a two-part series photo also demonstrating the beauty around us. The event is FREE to attend - and should be a lot of fun! See you there! >> back to top

09.30.2004 "How many amateur photographers made it into the book, vs. professionals? - The work of 32 students and 30 amateurs appear in the book. A few amateur images were good enough to be featured as 2-page spreads. This was an amazing opportunity for aspiring photographers to be discovered. Their work was reviewed by photo editors from top publications such as Time, Fortune, Newsweek, The Washington Post and The New York Times. A few even got professional assignments from these top publications." - David Elliot Cohen, Project Director, America 24/7 >> back to top |
