| Dear Stacy, |
Many
of us would agree - Mother Nature is having some major mood swings this
year! Although the calendars officially said "Spring Begins" on March
20, many
of us have only had a quick glimpse of warmer, greener days to come.
Fortunately, Easter Sunday in Michigan turned out to be the nicest it's
been in several years. The day providing us all with a dose of
beautiful sunshine - and new promises ahead.
Because of my involvement with the Pure Michigan Photo Contest,
I've been outside more often - and earlier - than I ever have in
previous years. Slowly, each day reveals a new sign of spring.
I've watched the lakes slowly turn over from solid ice to open waters. The
steelhead are running in the rivers, and frogs are croaking from the
murky wetlands. Some farmers are beginning to prepare their fields, and
birds are seeking the perfect spot for nesting.
A
mid-March outing near the White River channel at Lake Michigan ended in
a terrific sunset. It was just brilliant as a summer evening (but I can assure you - not nearly as warm!).
Remember - each eNewsletter, I offer a chance for you to win a FREE 8x10 print! How? Forward this email to a friend who appreciates photography and the outdoors. I only ask that you play fair - no one likes to receive unwanted email.
The March 2009 8x10 print receipient is Julie Mushing - congratulations! |

Wondering About a Workshop?
|
I'm pleased to announce my very first photography outing / event will be held at the Sleeping Bear Dunes, October 8 - 11, 2009.
This outing is sponsored through NANPA (the North American Nature Photographers Association). Check NANPA's Regional Event page for information and online registration details when they become available. If you enjoy outdoor photography, NANPA membership is well worth the investment.
 In
addition to giving the opening presentation, I'll assist in leading
several excursions in the National Park, alongside other experienced
outdoor photographers - Kimberli Bindschatel, Robert deJonge, Steven Huyser-Honig and Jeff Rabidoux.
For folks who live in the Midwest - I also highly recommend the Summer Weekend of Photography event hosted by the Southwestern Michigan Council of Camera Clubs.
It is really an ideal event for every aspect of photography - from
beginner to professional level. I try to attend this great series of
workshops each summer. This year's event will be held from July 30 through August 2, 2009 at Hope College in Holland, MI.
There
are field trips, lectures, a variety of hands-on workshops, and chance
to enjoy the company of many others who actively enjoy photography. You
can register online.
Meals and lodging are even available through the college at a very
reasonable rate. I have always come away from this weekend with fresh
ideas inspired by a new group of friends.

Design Spotlight: Websites
|
Often this eNewsletter contains photography - and articles related to the enjoyment of capturing images.
But did you know the majority of my work involves designing websites and online newsletters for clients?
Some new websites launched this year: Websites currently under production include a gourmet food manufacturer, a marriage counseling site and another photographer.
Do you think your website could use an upgrade? Could your company benefit from an online newsletter such as this? Contact me for a complimentary consultation.

April Fool!
|
I'd like to speak to the person who scheduled Spring Break, the first Little League practices, Easter, this newsletter - and tax time all in the same week. I think the only "April fool" has been me - running from place to place!
However,
it's a blessing to be busy. Unfortunately, there are a number of folks
who are searching for work, including some close friends. If you are
looking for an employee - even on a temporary basis - please contact me because I have some excellent recommendations.
Happy April Birthday wishes go out to: my brother Joseph Cossolini, our nephew Aaron Niedzwiecki; and friends Carrie Elzinga, James Hooper, Todd Rogers, Dean Meierdiercks, Ramiro Rodriguez, Amy Freeland McKee and Terry Sikora!
Happy Anniversary to our niece and nephew - Casey & Jodi Peters, and Happy First Anniversary - to friends Tad & Sarah Smedes.
Remember, if you'd like - remind me of an important date so I can include your special day in the next newsletter!
With much appreciation for your words of encouragement and continued support! Stacy |
